On January the 25th of 2021, Maarten Elsenburg, the former chairman of the supervisory board of Our Lord in the Attic Museum, passed away.
At the end of 2017, he resigned from his official duties and received a royal award in recognition of his professional career and great social commitment.
Maarten Elsenburg made a big difference to the museum’s unique monument, which houses a Catholic house church from the 17th century.
He realized that this heritage is not only of historical importance, but the story is still relevant and meaningful. We will continue to propagate this vision and will commemorate Maarten Elsenburg in the process.
We are grateful that he has shared his wisdom and indestructible optimism with us for years.
On behalf of all employees, management and supervisory board of Our Lord in the Attic Museum.
