This summer, Museum Ons’ Lieve Heer op Solder is offering a special musical experience with organist Pietro Paganini. Our historic organ must be played regularly to stay in good condition, and none other than Pietro Paganini will provide this.

During regular museum visiting hours, Pietro will play our historic organ three times. This concert is included with your regular museum ticket.

Practical information

Playtime will take place on the following Saturdays: June 29, July 27 and Aug. 31, from 4 p.m. to 5 p.m. There is no formal program; Pietro will put together the program based on his own inspiration and sheet music. During Pietro’s organ playing, visitors will not be able to walk behind the organ. Of course, you can otherwise access all the galleries of the attic church.

About Pietro Paganini

Pietro Paganini began playing piano at the age of eight and graduated cum laude in piano (2000) and harpsichord (2004). In September 2004, he settled in the Netherlands to continue harpsichord studies with Ton Koopman and Tini Mathot at the Royal Conservatory in The Hague. In May 2009, he completed his Masters with works by Dietrich Buxtehude. He is one of the few organists allowed to play the historic organ of Museum Ons’ Lieve Heer op Solder.
Pietro has performed with conductors such as Ton Koopman, Mike Fentross and Enrico Gatti, and with orchestras such as the Amsterdam Baroque Orchestra and the Orchestra of Flanders. He has worked for such renowned institutions as the University of Leiden, Erasmus University Rotterdam, the Festival of Early Music Utrecht and the Rembrandt Festival Leiden. He also performed at such prestigious venues as Carnegie Hall in New York, St. Petersburg, and St. Louis. Martin-in-the-Fields in London and the Cité de la Musique in Paris.
