DJ Slimfit x ADE x Our Lord in the Attic Museum
Sien Tao
During ADE, artist Sammie Tjon Sien Foek, also known as DJ Slimfit, will perform three shows featuring a hybrid live set at the historic clandestine church of Our Lord in the Attic Museum.
For this special curation, Slimfit explores the ritualesque quality of sound throughout differing historical and cultural contexts. By integrating and remixing classical music elements with live electronic composition influenced by ancestral rhythms, they reinterpret supposedly opposing liturgical ideologies.
Slimfit’s practice centers on critical postcolonial theory and its friction with contemporary meaning-making within a metamodernist zeitgeist.
This visual and audio art installation is part of the Pantheon Amsterdam exhibition, an art production with eight talented and multi-disciplinary artists who reflect on religion, spirituality and celebrations. Pantheon Amsterdam is on display in the museum from ADE 2026 until ADE 2027.
Practical information:
A visit to this 17th-century house, which has a church in the attic, involves climbing a considerable number of narrow flights of stairs. This means the property is not equally accessible to everyone.
