A visit to the 17th century canal house and the church in the attic involves climbing a lot of narrow stairs.
This makes the property not equally accessible for everyone.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The museum has a facility especially for people with walking difficulties so that you can enjoy a museum visit together with your accompanying helper. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The museum cafe, the museum shop and our temporary exhibition space are all easily accessible. These rooms are located in the entrance building and are accessible by elevator. An adapted toilet is also available here.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Blind and partially-sighted visitors (only available in Dutch)<\/h4>\n\n\n\n

Audiotour \u2018Samen zie je meer\u2019<\/em><\/em><\/h5>\n\n\n\n

The special audio tour “Samen zie je meer”<\/em> allows a blind or visually impaired visitor to walk through the museum with a companion. The emphasis of this audio tour is on a sensory experience of the 17th-century canal house: listening, smelling and touching. To get a good idea of the layout of the residence and attic church, a scale model can be explored by touch prior to the visit. The audio tour for blind and visually impaired visitors is free and does not require advance reservations. Note: this audio tour is only available in Dutch.<\/p>\n\n\n\n


Group guided tour (Dutch and English)<\/h5>\n\n\n\n

We offer a special guided tour for small groups of blind and visually impaired visitors.

Visitors who have difficulty walking and\/or visitors with wheelchairs<\/h4>\n\n\n\n

CoVisit (Dutch and English)<\/em><\/em> Temporarily unavailable due to maintenance<\/strong><\/h5>\n\n\n\n

For visitors who cannot climb stairs, the so-called CoVisit tour<\/em> is available. From a specially set up area, these visitors take a virtual tour of the museum while their guide takes a tour of the monument. You remain in contact with eachother via phones and follow the route through the museum with an audio and visual connection. That way the visit can still be experienced together! De CoVisit-tour<\/em> is free and has to be booked in advance via 020-6246604.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Deaf and hearing-impaired visitors<\/h4>\n\n\n\n

For deaf and hearing-impaired visitors, the text of the regular audio tour is available on paper.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Free ticket for accompanier<\/h4>\n\n\n\n

The acompanier of the visitors with a disability does not need to buy a ticket.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Assistance dogs<\/h4>\n\n\n\n

The museum is accessible to visitors with a guide dog or a (SOHO) assistance dog. Keep in mind, that the many stairs may not be suitable for every service dog.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
