Museum Ons’ Lieve Heer op Solder is committed to protecting the privacy of visitors to its website as far as possible. In order to clearly explain how we deal with the personal details of our website visitors, we have drawn up a Privacy Statement. This Privacy Statement applies to all pages included under
This statement does not apply to websites of other organisations and/or businesses which may have links on our website. Moreover, Ons’ Lieve Heer op Solder is not responsible for the content of websites of third parties to which we refer.
We do not collect any personal details on our websites unless these have been given to us voluntarily, for example via email, newsletter or webshop. We treat all information provided by you in a secure and confidential way.
To send out newsletters, we use the program, Mailchimp. You only receive the newsletter if you have subscribed to it. If you no longer wish to receive the newsletter, you can cancel your subscription at any time. Every newsletter contains a link you can use to cancel your subscription. Your details will not be used for any other purpose than for sending the newsletter. The list of subscribers for the newsletter will not be made available to any third parties.
Online ticket sales via the website
For the online ticket shop, we work together with Priotickets and Jewellabz. To properly process online ticket sales, we need a certain number of personal details. The details that are used to buy an entrance ticket in the webshop will only be used for this purpose. The details will not be used for any other purpose.
Security & Hosting
Our websites are made by Finalist in Drupal 7 and provided with the latest security updates. The websites are also secured by an SSL security certificate. The website is hosted from a secured server that can only be accessed by persons known to us.
We have installed functional cookies on the platform that are necessary for the proper technical working of the platform, to be able to perform the services you have requested and for various operational functions. We also use analytical cookies in order to optimise platform use. These cookies have a minimal impact on the privacy of our website visitors. We use Google Analytics for these. We have configured Google Analytics according to the guidelines of the Dutch Data Protection Authority Handleiding Privacyvriendelijk instellen Google Analytics (PDF, available in Dutch only) to ensure a minimum invasion of privacy. We have entered into a processing agreement with Google for this and have chosen to mask the last octet of the IP address. Moreover, the ‘share details’ option is disabled, Google is not permitted to use the analytics obtained for other Google services, and we do not make any use ourselves of other Google services in combination with Google Analytics.
We do not place any tracking cookies ourselves. Tracking cookies are cookies that can track visitors as they surf on other websites. However, as we want to provide the opportunity to share information via social media, we have installed plug-ins from social media such as Facebook, LinkedIn and Twitter. These social media do make use of tracking cookies. Social media plug-in cookies are cookies that make it possible for a social media user to share web pages (or parts thereof) with that social media network. By placing cookies on a user’s PC or other devices and reading information from them, plug-ins on the platform websites enable the user to share pages via a social media network. The plug-ins work via a code provided by the social media network itself. Among other things, this code installs a cookie. Also see the privacy statement of Facebook, LinkedIn and Twitter to see what they do with the personal details they process using this code. Sometimes film clips may be placed via the YouTube platform. YouTube also uses tracking cookies. For more information, see the privacy statement of YouTube (part of Google).
Refusing and deleting cookies
You can choose to refuse certain cookies, or to delete them later. See the instructions for this under ‘settings’ on your browser and/or use the Help function.
Right to view and delete
Your attention is drawn to your right to view your personal details, and to request that they be corrected or removed. Please contact us if you wish to know which of your personal details we have processed or if you want any such details to be corrected or deleted. You can find our contact details below. To prevent misuse, we may ask you to provide proof of identity. Your request will be dealt with within four weeks.
We reserve the right to make changes to this Privacy Statement. Any changes will be published on the platform on this page. We advise you to consult our Privacy Statement regularly so that you are always aware of the content of our most recent privacy statement.
